What we collect
The calculations you perform happen locally on your device and are never transmitted to us. We do not require accounts and do not collect names, emails or personal details unless you choose to send them to us via the contact page or email.
Cookies and local storage
ToolCorner uses a small amount of browser storage, grouped into three categories: Necessary (always on) remembers your light/dark theme and your cookie choice; Analytics is optional and off until you allow it; and Advertising is used, because the site is funded by ads: we run Google AdSense, and Google and its partners set advertising cookies to serve and measure those ads. Advertising storage stays denied through Google Consent Mode until you allow it in the Google consent message, and any ads shown before then are non-personalised. You can opt out of personalised advertising across the web at any time in Google My Ad Center, review how Google uses information from sites that use its services and how Google uses cookies in advertising, or contact us with any question about this. Necessary items live only in your browser's local storage, stay on your device, and can be cleared any time via your browser settings.
Analytics
When — and only when — you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are popular and how the site performs, in aggregate. It runs through Google Consent Mode, so if you reject analytics or haven't chosen yet, analytics storage stays denied: no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. Analytics never captures the values you type into a tool.
Advertising
ToolCorner is free to use and is paid for by advertising. We use Google AdSense, which means Google and its partners — not us — handle the ads you see and the data behind them. Ads may not appear on every page while Google reviews the site.
Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where you have allowed advertising cookies, those may be used to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Where you have not, advertising storage stays denied through Google Consent Mode and any ads shown are non-personalised. You can opt out of personalised advertising across the web at any time in Google My Ad Center, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising is a separate choice from analytics in the Google consent message, which you can re-open at any time from the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page, and it stays denied unless you allow it. If you would rather ask us directly about any of this, contact us. We never pass the values you type into a calculator to an advertising partner — those numbers never leave your browser.
Managing your cookie choices
On your first visit, a consent message from Google — our certified Consent Management Platform — asks whether to allow optional cookies. You can change your decision at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page, which re-opens that same Google message. Your choice is recorded by Google in this browser, so you may be asked again on a different device or after clearing your browser storage. Until you choose, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising storage denied. Any question about how we handle this is welcome via the contact page.
Third-party links
Our pages may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
Children’s privacy
Tool Corner is a general-audience reference site. It is not directed at children, we do not ask for anyone’s age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Some tools — grade and GPA calculators, the homework-adjacent maths tools, the science simulators, and the Minecraft and Roblox calculators — are plainly of interest to children, and they work the same way as everything else here: the numbers you type stay in your browser and are never sent to us. We instruct our advertising partners to serve only non-personalised advertising to visitors we have reason to treat as children, and personalised advertising is in any case off entirely unless you consent to it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information — in practice, by emailing us — please get in touch and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because we don't build profiles or store your inputs, there's very little personal data to access, correct or delete. If you've emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, just get in touch.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
