What your result means
Gross payout is your Earned Robux at the DevEx rate — the figure Roblox approves. You take home is what survives after the income tax you owe on it and the fee your payment method charges. The 30,000 minimum row is the gate: below it, no cash-out is possible at all, however large the gross figure looks. DevEx income is self-employment income in most countries, so the tax line is usually the biggest single deduction.
Three things that stop a DevEx cash-out
The rate is the easy part. Most failed or disappointing cash-outs come down to eligibility: you need at least 30,000 Earned Robux, an age-verified account in good standing, and only one request per calendar month.
The second surprise is the tax bill. DevEx pays gross — nothing is withheld — so the money that arrives is not yours to spend in full. The third is mixed balances: Robux earned before 5 September 2025 cashes out at the older $0.0035 rate and is paid out first, so an old balance can pay less than the headline rate suggests.
How it works
Your Earned Robux is multiplied by the DevEx rate that applies to it to give a gross US dollar figure. From that, the calculator subtracts an income-tax estimate at the percentage you set, then the flat fee for your payout method. What remains is a take-home estimate. If your balance is below 30,000 Earned Robux the maths still runs, but the result is hypothetical — Roblox will not process a request under the minimum.
How to use this calculator
- Enter your Earned Robux balance — the earnings figure, not your total Robux.
- Pick the rate that applies. Use legacy for Robux earned before 5 September 2025.
- Set the income-tax percentage you expect to pay on self-employment income, or 0 for the gross figure.
- Choose your payout method so the right fee is deducted.
- Check the 30,000 minimum row before you submit a request — and remember it is one request per calendar month.
Formula
Earned Robux is the qualifying balance. Rate is dollars per Robux: 0.0038 standard, 0.0035 legacy, 0.0054 for qualifying US 18+ spend. Tax is the gross multiplied by your marginal rate — an estimate only, since nothing is withheld at source. Payout fee is the flat charge from your payment method. The 30,000 Earned Robux minimum is a threshold, not part of the arithmetic.
Example calculation
100,000 Earned Robux at the standard rate, 20% tax, paid by local bank transfer:
Income tax at 20% = −$76.00
Bank transfer fee = −$1.00
Take-home ≈ $303.00
Effective value: about $0.00303 per Robux
At the 30,000 Robux minimum the same settings give $114 gross and roughly $90.20 take-home — which is why most creators let a balance build before cashing out.
Frequently asked questions
How much Robux do I need to cash out?+
30,000 Earned Robux, which is $114 at the standard $0.0038 rate. You also need an age-verified account in good standing, and Roblox accepts one DevEx request per calendar month.
Does Roblox take tax off before paying me?+
No. DevEx pays gross and you are responsible for declaring it. In most countries it counts as self-employment or business income, so set the tax field to your own marginal rate to see a realistic take-home figure. This is an estimate, not tax advice.
Why might my payout use the older $0.0035 rate?+
Robux earned before 10am PT on 5 September 2025 cashes out at the legacy rate, and Roblox pays those balances out first. If your earnings straddle that date, part of the cash-out can be at $0.0035 and part at $0.0038 — run the calculator twice and add the results.

Assumptions & limitations
Every figure here comes from a simplified model. Keep these limits in mind when reading your result:
- Rates are the published DevEx figures at the time of writing; Roblox can change them, and the US 18+ rate applies only to qualifying spend by age-verified adult players in the United States.
- Only Earned Robux qualifies. Purchased, gifted, traded and Premium-stipend Robux cannot be cashed out.
- The tax figure is your own estimate applied to the gross payout. Nothing is withheld by Roblox and this is not tax advice — check your local rules or ask an accountant.
- Payout fees are typical published figures per method; the real charge depends on your country and provider, and PayPal or wire transfers can cost considerably more.
- Foreign-exchange margins on non-dollar payouts (often 1.9–3%) are not modelled; the currency figure uses the plain rate you enter.
- Approval is at Roblox’s discretion. Clearing the minimum does not guarantee a successful request.
